Wolf Pack backs kiwi conservation

Save the Kiwi

Royal Wolf is partnering with Save the Kiwi to support their mission to rebuild New Zealand’s kiwi population.

With the number of Kiwi declining by 2% every year the nocturnal birds are in danger of disappearing from the wild in our lifetime.

“We’re on board with Save the Kiwi to help ensure that doesn’t happen,” says Paul Creighton, Executive General Manager New Zealand.

“We have done some work with Save the Kiwi in the past, which was an opportunity for us to use our expertise and provide container solutions to support them. So, it’s great to be on board in an official capacity to continue to back the important work they do to supercharge the Kiwi population with initiatives like K?hanga Kiwi.

“It is a cause the whole Royal wolf team across the country can get in behind and support. We also think ‘Royal Wolf, the official shipping container of Save the Kiwi’ has a very nice ring to it.”

Michelle Impey, Save the Kiwi Executive Director, says Royal Wolf generously donated the use of a container for its display at the 2022 Fieldays to raise awareness about the importance of predator management.

“The container was hugely successful because it enabled us to create a space that evoked the forest environment and kiwi habitat while also highlighting the impact people can have by undertaking predator management programmes.

“We’re absolutely thrilled Royal Wolf has come onboard in an official sponsorship capacity, and we’re excited to see what kiwi conservation success their support can help us achieve.”

Mr Creighton says Royal Wolf supplies containers and resources to a wide range of community groups and organisations to support their kaupapa in local areas.

“Supporting community projects has a feelgood factor and level of pride attached to it that can’t be matched. Our teams feel really proud to support organisations like Save the Kiwi and other local initiatives doing valuable work in the community.”
