Rig technologies approached Royal Wolf to find a solution for their mobile workshop, which will be used for a combination of electrical and mechanical repairs of drilling equipment in mining. Royal Wolf developed their concept into an engineered solution which the client was very happy to proceed with.
Royal Wolf have supplied a modified container with X-Y Gantry which can be extended to the outside of the container for loading and unloading.
The idea behind this gantry design is to eliminate manual handling activity in the workplace. Workbenches and shelves were made according to the client's requirements, and the workshop was transformed into an office space finished with AC and full EPS installation.
Royal Wolf's Western Australian team worked as one National team to overcome a lot of challenges in material movement to complete this project on time with high quality. This service container will be used at different sites and showcases our capabilities.
