Problem
ACC Sportsmart is a main sponsor of the annual AIMS Games International Sporting Championships held recently in Mount Maunganui.
Sportsmart needed a space to set up their interactive Cool Down Body Motion game that allows students to follow along to a big screen video and learn helpful cool down and recovery skills.
They also needed a location for a Chill Out Zone where the kids could relax.
Solution
Two 20-foot openside Royal Wolf shipping containers were used at the Games to house the virtual stretching game and chill out zone.
The Year 7 and 8 students were able to follow the cool down instructions from the screens set up inside one of the shipping containers while standing under a marquee outside.
The other container was set up as a Chill Out Zone where the students could sit inside before or after their games.
Result
The easy access and wide doorways of the containers provided an inviting and fun entertainment and relaxation space for many of the thousands of students who attended the Games. The portability and ready-to-go nature of the containers made them an ideal solution for a temporary yet large scale event of this kind.
