The Challenge
Located between Mission Bay and Kohimarama, in the heart of a busy residential area and major thoroughfare, Earth Stability Limited were tasked with strengthening a bank before it became hazardous.
A house located on top of the bank made it critical to act fast and future proof the top of the bank, ensuring the safety of the homeowners and the wider community.
Earth Stability required an efficient solution from Royalwolf that would protect workers and allow residents and members of the public to carry on as normal while stabilisation work was undertaken.
The Solution
The urgency of the stabilisation work meant a strong and riobust solution needed to be put in place quickly and efficiently to ensure no major disruption was caused by falling debris.
Royalwolf provided a four unit container hoarding to create a barrier between the bank and foot path.
The Result
Earth Stability was able to get the project underway quickly thanks to Royalwolf. It allowed workers to add anchors and plates to strengthen and stabilise the bank, and ensure no loose material would fall.
While this work was going on the containers meant passersby were still able to access the footpath and the hoardings meant no road closures were necessary.
All Health and Safety measures were taken to ensure workers, residents and by passers were protected.
